Pastor Fernando & Jerusalen Landin

Before giving his life to Jesus, Fernando was living a life filled with pain, destruction, and hopelessness. At only 12 years old, he was already involved in drugs, gangs, violence, and surrounded by chaos that was pulling him deeper into darkness. The streets became normal, and the hurt and brokenness continued to grow. There were moments where his life could have ended, including overdoses that should have taken him out completely.

But even in the middle of all the destruction, God had a different plan for his life.

Someone told Fernando about Jesus — about a Savior who could forgive, restore, and completely change a person’s life. Desperate for something real and tired of the life he was living, he went to church and surrendered his life to Jesus Christ.

That decision changed everything.

Since that day, Fernando has continued growing in his faith and relationship with God. What once looked impossible became a testimony of God’s grace and redemption. God restored what the enemy tried to destroy. Today, Fernando is married, blessed with two boys, and grateful for the family God has given him. God has also blessed him with a successful business and the opportunity to serve and help others every day.

His story is proof that no one is too far gone for God. No matter how broken a person’s past may be, Jesus still saves, restores, and gives new purpose. Fernando’s life stands as a testimony that God can take a life headed toward destruction and turn it into something filled with hope, purpose, and blessing.
